Work Tasks
What Does a Sales Representative’s Day Look Like?

You Arrive at Work and call your first client
- The first phone call to a client may seem challenging. But once you win the client over and build a relationship, it becomes much easier.
- After the phone call, you send him a presentation.
- On average, it takes 150–200 calls to acquire one client. The more clients you reach out to, the higher your chances of securing a deal.

You Plan When to Follow Up with Potential Clients
- Did you reach out to a client? Great. You write down the topic and outcome of the conversation and schedule a date to call them again — for example, in 2 or 3 weeks.

You Send Offers to Dispatchers
- The Call Was Successful. The Client Sent You Information About the Goods to Be Transported.
- You forward this offer to the dispatcher.

You train with others
- You have a technical meeting about improvements in our software that will make your work easier.
- You find out from the dispatcher which vehicle can transport the goods—for example, from Kolín to Bratislava by tomorrow at 6:00 PM.
- Based on that, you will prepare a quotation for the client.

You prepare quotations
- You'll make a list of clients to contact the next morning.
You get contacts through:
- internal database - you’ll find a list of clients who are no longer approached by other salespeople for various reasons (for example, they may not have been a good fit).
- Internet - there are various online platforms where you can connect with potential clients
- exhibitions - visiting exhibitions can help you build relationships with new clients, you can gain valuable contacts.
- existing clients - thanks to referrals from loyal customers, it’s easier to gain new clients, especially those who are connected to your current ones.
More clients = more rewards for you
- You build friendly relationships with your clients. Sometimes, you call them just to ask how they’re doing.
- Thanks to these strong relationships, the client recommends DeutschMann to other companies.

Testimonials and reviews
I really appreciate how open it is here. There are opportunities for career growth, everyone starts on the equal footing, and it's up to you to work on yourself. I also like that I can use a foreign language in my work. The team is another big plus — we can count on each other, and that makes a huge difference. Since we spend most of our lives at work, I want to feel good here and be in a positive environment. I trust the company. It doesn’t do anything unethical — it has a code of ethics that it truly follows. It’s not just something written on paper. There are plenty of companies that cut corners or make shady deals, but not here. And that really matters to me — I want to work somewhere where ethics and integrity come first.
DeutschMann gives me strength and determination, knowing that every morning when I come here, nothing will surprise me anymore, but there is a well of new adventures waiting.
With the help of DeutschMann, I have taken care of my family and managed to secure their future. Everyone is happy and secure, and that’s why I do it.
I have friends here; we are all like one big family.
DeutschMann gives me stability. Everything I know, I learned here. They were very patient with me. They gave me a chance, they gave me hope for a better life, and it was up to me to fight for it. I never bite the hand that feeds me. Young people today don't know what loyalty is. The company management has always helped me and never said no. With some people here, the relationships are such that we truly respect one another — genuinely, not just on the surface.
It gives me a different perspective on the world. I’ve learned that a person can live decently — I don’t have to avoid anyone, I don’t hurt anyone, and I’m happy and content with my life. I don't complain about the system or the world, but I am aware that only I can change my life and that I am the creator of my own happiness. Of course, DeutschMann has also given me stability. I know that I work in a stable environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone become a sales representative in a company?
Yes, anyone who has mastered the post of dispositor so that as a salesperson they know what to ask of them and who is linguistically equipped enough to be able to communicate with clients over the phone in a foreign language.
When can I move into a salesperson role, how long will it take? And what is the procedure?
It's very individual. For each person, we carefully analyze their potential, skills, and results. There is no clear answer. There’s no clear-cut answer. Some people moved into the salesperson role after 2-3 months, but there are also those who made that decision after a few years.
Has anyone ever gone straight into the salesperson role?
Yes, but it didn't work well because that person didn't understand the work of the role that the salesperson closely collaborates with. That's why we insist that a future salesperson first spends some time working as a dispatcher, so they know what they can promise to the client.
How much do sales representatives earn on average?
The average for last year is 6.441,-€, the lowest-performing salesperson earned 2.368,-€, while the top-performing salesperson had an average of 17.937,-€.
