DeutschMann® Rallye Trebišov track details

27.8.2017

One of the many questions asked by competitors but also by visitors in the inclusion of a new rally in the SAMS calendar is the question - what will the race track be like? Today we have an answer for all who are interested in the DeutschMann® Rally Trebišov and are about to participate as ccompetitors or spectators.

It should be noted at the beginning that the special stages will not be completely new for the competition crews, as they have already been partly used in other competitions, especially the Rally Košice. The town of Trebišov and its surroundings are situated in the East Slovakian plain with straight state roads and as there is a minimum of forests in the vicinity of Trebišov there are no forest roads. That's why the beautiful, very sporty tracks that the organizer has chosen for the DeutschMann® Rallye Trebišov are located in the Slanské vrchy, which lie between Trebišov and Kosice. Let's look at the individual special stages.

Special Stage Milic:

The special stage is included in the race three times for all participants. Its length is 12.10 km and is done on a forest road. Start SS Millik will be over the village Kalsa, approximately 2 km before turning to Lake Izra. After the start, the SS runs in a slight climb, with several heavy twists and turns, a poor quality asphalt, which this week the organizer has managed to get fixed until the junction to the lake of Izra. There is a viewing place no. 1 with access from Lake Izra and Bysta village. The natural retarder is used in the junction, and the track continues through the forest path on the high-quality asphalt through a faster section with many "heart-like" turns. After 3.0 km, SS comes to the viewing spot no. 2 - junction to Nový Salaš village. Further on, the SS continues along the contour line with a series of curves and flats on high quality asphalt up to the SS finish above the village of Slanec. There is a viewing spot no. 3 with access from the SS finish.

Bogota Special Stage:

The Bogota Special Stage will be a great challenge for DeutschMann® Rallye Trebišov participants. It is only attended by MSR participants three times. Its difficulty is given by its length of 18 km and the alternation of the character of the roads used. In the case of sunny weather, about half of the SS is heading east, which means driving against the low sun shining between the trees. The whole SS will be done on high quality asphalt. Start SS will be in the middle of the village of Slancik on a general road. 300 m after the start, a retarder will be waiting for the crews on the bus turn – viewing spot 4 accessible from SS start. Next, the track will continue 700 m on the bitched asphalt with the horizons to the second retarder. Both retarders do not have the nature of classical retarders subject to SAMS penalties, they are only a substitution of the track. At 1.35 km from the start, the crews will turn to Regeta, where is the viewing spot 5 with access from the village Ruskov by the village road. From the turn to the Regeta, the entire SS continues on a dedicated forest road. With a series of twists and turns, the crew will get to 3.35 km from the start of the SS to the junction on the big meadow. There the road delta is used for deceleration, and the crews continue on a good asphalt road towards the village of Svinica. This patr is characterized by longer straight streets with tricky horizons and sharp turns. This entire section is clustered on the side of the hulls and will make the crews feel a ride in a narrow tunnel. At 8 km, the SS turns right onto a new road slightly uphill - viewing spot 6 with access from the village of Svinica. This section of the track was used in the Cassovia rally in winter, it is 4.55 km long and is characterized by longer straight rows in a multi-bend pitch and ending on the meadow where is the viewing spot 7 with access from the Dargovských hrdinov monument. Subsequently, the SS line turns to the right and in steady climb with a lot of heavy turns on the slightly cracked asphalt continues 5.2 km until the SS finish, which is on turning to a radar station on top of Bogota Hill.

For the completeness of the track description, it should be noted that the access road to SS Milic and the road after SS Bogota finish is on forest roads that have a gravelly character. The organizer took this into account in setting the times for passing through these sections. Based on the strict requirements of the owners of dedicated forest roads, "anti-catching" barriers in the form of a set of 3 rough tires will be used to a large extent.

The organizer is convinced that the selected special stages tracks are very demanding from a sport point of view and provide an unforgettable experience for visitors.
